Commercial vehicles refer to the vehicles which are used for the transportation of goods for logistics purposes, transporting construction materials for buildings, roads, railways or passengers
Different type of commercial vehicles used in Kenya are:
Wheel loader –Wheel Loader in Kenya is used as a construction equipment. It is used to load or transfer the materials to dump trucks or rail road car. There is a bucket attached to it which transfers the materials like rocks, sand, raw minerals around the construction job site. The bucket varies from one cubic yard which is used for small machines to more than twenty cubic yards for large materials
Fork lift – Fork lift in Kenya is used as the powered truck for industries. It is used to move the materials at very short distances. Fork lift is the very old commercial vehicle. It has been in the inception since the early 20th century. Fork lifts are popular and considered as very crucial equipment for manufacturing and warehousing units in Kenya and other parts of countries too. The main condition of Fork lift is that the load it carries must be continual with the specified centre of the gravity. They should be loaded with specified maximised weights. Fork lifts are made to travel inside the storage bay through guided rails and pallets of the warehouse
Backhoe Loader– Backhoe Loader is attached to an equipment called Backhoe in Kenya which is used as a piece of digging equipment. Backhoe is also known as the rear actor or back actor. Backhoe is attached to a typical type of a vehicle like a tractor that is Backhoe Loader at a rear. Unlike other commercial vehicles which are used for transportation, Backhoe is a construction equipment which is used for digging. Backhoe digs by drawing earth backwards.
